Vashti Canty took a gap year before med school, securing a job as a Flight Attendant for Delta Air Lines. She planned to work and travel. Her gap year turned into a career. For the past twenty years, Vashti has served in both operations and management at Delta, moving from her Flight Attendant position to Global Diversity Inclusion Specialist. She has served on the Board of Directors for Delta Cares and Delta Scholarship Fund as well as being the Board Chair for the organization for three years. She has a passion for empowering women through education and currently serves as Member at Large on the JRF Executive Committee.
